Grant Programs

People With Disabilities Foundation (PWDF) provides grants to other nonprofit agencies in their work to integrate people with psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities into the whole of society, consistent with PWDF’s mission.

The overriding considerations are IMPACT and NEED to accomplish PWDF’s mission (and financial need).

PWDF is continuing the development of its grant program.  Grants may be used for a specific program, project, or general operating expenses if related to a specific program or project, in furtherance of providing advocacy, education, vocational, or other areas of particular impact to people with psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities. This includes full scale advocacy and education where there currently is a void for this population.

PWDF’s pilot grant program is awarding smaller grants in the range of $5,000 to $12,500, with a goal of future program expansion.

Letters of Interest (LOIs) are currently being accepted. Please read the Program Eligibility and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) linked below before submitting an LOI. To submit an LOI, send the completed LOI form (below) and your two most recent years’ IRS form 990 to grants@pwdf.org by Nov. 6, 2024. Updates, if any, will be posted on this page or the FAQs. See the links below for more information about PWDF’s Pilot Grant Program.
