In recognition of People With Disabilities Foundation’s efforts on behalf of the mentally disabled, Hon. Gavin Newsom, mayor of San Francisco, issued a proclamation making June 3, 2008 People With Disabilities Day in San Francisco. This proclamation coincides with the premiere of PWDF’s newest video, Understanding Employees and Job Applicants with Psychiatric Disabilities.

Tom Ammiano, President of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors presents a proclamation from the City and County of San Francisco to PWDF for producing the employment training video, Accommodating Employees and Job Applicants with Psychiatric Disabilities in the Work Place.

Presented October 2002 at San Francisco City Hall to Steven Bruce, Executive Director, PWDF.

Also present: Mia Scott, Director of Theater Unlimited, RCH, Inc. and Burt Houle, employment counselor from the ARC, San Francisco.
