Contract Litigation Attorney – Disability Rights

PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES FOUNDATION (PWDF) is a small nonprofit in San Fransisco that focuses on equal access for clients with psychiatric, developmental or neurological disabilities.

People With Disabilities Foundation (PWDF) is seeking a Contract Attorney for 1 or 2 cases against the Social Security Administration (SSA) for violating Sec. 504 in which two Plaintiffs with schizophrenia seek reasonable accommodations for program access.

Compensation:
• This is an Independent Contractor position.
• Pay range: DOE.

Current complex civil rights litigation in federal court (N.D.) against the SSA. One case is ordered to mediation.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Licensed to practice law in good standing in California. Admitted to practice in the Northern District of California.
• A minimum of 10-12 years of litigation experience.
• Background in disability rights; Sec. 504.
• Professional communications, including both verbal and written skills.

This position is in San Francisco.
