PWDF: Focus on Mental Disabilities

In THE SPOTLIGHT

Social Security Administration (SSA): No Cost-of-Living Adjustment for 2016

Monthly Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits for nearly 65 million Americans will not automatically increase in 2016, based on no increase in the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W), as determined by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. 1  This is the third time there has been no Social Security benefit increase since automatic cost-of-living adjustments to keep up with inflation began in 1975. 2
