PWDF: Focus on Mental Disabilities

Update

Grant Program Update

People With Disabilities Foundation (PWDF), an IRS approved § 501(c)(3) public, tax exempt agency that serves people with psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities, is in the final stage of determining awards in our pilot grant program.

PWDF’s mission is to provide education and advocacy for people with psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities, so that they can achieve equal opportunities in all aspects of life.  PWDF currently accomplishes its mission through two programs:  Advocacy and Public Awareness and Education Programs.  In February 2017, PWDF announced our pilot grant program to help other agencies to integrate people with psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities into the whole of society.

PWDF received letters of interest (LOI) from organizations, issued a request for proposals (RFP) to some of those organizations, and is at the end of the process of reviewing those proposals for awards.  We hope to publish a list of awardees by our next e-newsletter.

For more information about PWDF, see www.pwdf.org.  We expect to issue a new announcement within the next 2 to 3 months.
